It's Friday, so it must be time for Aaron's pointless ramblings on subjects various and nefarious, topics wonderful and blunder-full, and generally funky and spunky.

Yeah, that last one wasn't so good, but the first two weren't much with the funny either. :(

Anyhow, it should be an uneventful weekend, so I'm looking forward to that. Seems like I've been running around too much, so the relaxation time should be good!

OK, House M.D., is getting a little close to glorifying the main characters drug abuse (if this is a spoiler to you, it's only because you've never watched the show, and darn it, it's your own fault! Geez!) I mean, it's recently getting to the point where I think there is never going to be any sort of real, LASTING negative light shed on it. House is getting away with his addiction constantly, and he weasels his way out of every problem that comes his way. I am certain that some might say it's a pretty accurate reflection on how it really is (and, yes, I do agree that the more prominent you are, the less likely an addiction is to ever have any negative consequences to you...I don't think I have to give examples), but I think it would be nice if there was some real punishment/penalty. Is it just me?

Note to you people (you know who you are): Please stop. Seriously, I can't deal with another season of stupidity paraded about on TV. Make this the last season of American Idol. Let it die. It's time. Don't you realize that once a quasi-parody movie has been made that stars Hugh Grant, it's time to cash in your chips and go home?!

Should there be a song of the day/week/however long the song lasts? I guess you don't know me too well if you have to ask! I'm leaning towards the lighter side today. I'm going to advocate a nice song that works well as background noise to soothe a person after a long day at the office. The kind of music you don't have to think about, or concentrate on, or deal with. Do you know the kind of music I'm talking about? (Hint: It's not jazz, and its certainly not anything that relates to what is sometimes referred to as a "jam-band") What's up with that anyways? It just goes on and on and on and on and on and on! Sometimes, it's hard to tell when one song ended and another started. And it never sounds the same twice...like the artists forget what they played before, so they just make up something similar. That's probably just me, but ti makes me nutty...nuttier!

That's right! It's classical music!! Let's go with "Nocturnes" by Claude Debussy. It's nice, although the second part isn't as suitable for my aformentioned purposes as the first and third parts. It meshes well, though! :)

Well, I hate to work, but I have to! See you laters!! :P

I have never watched A.I. nor will I, it ranks up there with survivor as TV shows the world would be better of without for me.

As for House MD...it has gotten so depressing for me, the plot lines and back-story don't seem to change. I'm actually kinda pissed because I used to love the show but now I don't watch at all and haven't since the 3rd episode with David Morse. Maybe when this story arc changes but for now I can do without

14-VIII-2009 or It's OK

Short rant: It's OK to have opinions on things. I have them, and I'm sure you have them. Just be honest that you have them. Go »

6-X-2006 or It's a holiday! I'm at work!

It is a little known fact that most of the University of Florida system shuts down on the Friday of Homecoming weekend. Unless you are deemed an essential employee, you would be sitting at home right now, possibly with an adult beverage in hand, relaxing. Or, you might be at the Gator Growl, which is some kind of pep rally or something, to get you psyched up for the big game, against LSU of all teams! Go »

31-X-2007 or Quick funny

I was at Target today working, and they were giving me crap. My co-worker thinks one of the other employees was hitting on me (she totally wasn't), and she's been telling people about how funny she thinks it is. Well, anyway, my immediate superior comes up to me, and he's patting me on the back, and he's razzing me, and he says, "C'mon, playa! Go »

16-IX-2009 or Behind The Scenes (GE)

For those who are not aware, my first character in Gothic Earth is retiring. I believe that Scott is going to keep him around to use for his own undoubtedly nefarious purposes, but essentially, I am done with him. There were many reasons behind it, but there was just a single overriding reason above all others: I found myself unwilling to continue with him. Go »

6-IV-2007 or I am so high, I can see heaven.

That has got to be the worst line from the worst theme song in movie history (IMNSHO)! It's so bad, it's the song of the day! "Hero" by Chad Kroeger (Nickleback lead singer) and Josey Scott (Saliva lead singer), from the movie Spiderman. Go »

12-II-2009 or Say What Now?

I got my little Ticketmaster e-mail, about upcoming shows in my area, and I got really excited, because I looked it over quick, and I saw "An Evening With Dio"! So as I dance around the office, with "Holy Diver" running through my head and a joyous smile blossoming on my face, I look a little closer... An Evening With Il Divo. Go »
