Yeah I suppose I should mention for anyone wondering (besides Scott, who I already talked to) I'm 90% sure I'm too crazy to do this GooCon thing appropriately. But that 10% chance of a successful trip is driving me nuts. I'm really curious to meet some other site users and I know it would be fun if I wasn't so crazy. And I know I'm gonna be jealous of those of you who are going and enjoying yourselves. Also, Darrell's pretty much 99% sure not going to go... and it would feel weird to go someplace without him. Note: this is not a plea for people to tell me that I'm not crazy and that I should go :-)
EDIT: True, I can act normal but in most cases I pretty much don't talk to people, and people would wonder why I'm there :P. In the rare cases where I do manage to talk to new people, I am so astonished that I can't sleep for weeks... EDIT2: I also don't have the fast-thinking ability to do all those games. I'm just an extreme introvert longing to be an extrovert but I should accept my limitations. EDIT3: Thanks you guys are nice and you put forth a good argument but I'm just going to try to put it out of my head and not make an absolute decision for a while.

But, Denise, even if you are crazy, it's ok. A lot of us are a little crazy, and some more than others. It's what makes the world so exciting! I think we're all a fun, accepting group, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say we'd love to have you come on down! I mean, I guess if your uncomfortable coming without Darrell, and you can't talk him into it, that's a different thing, but I hope you can muster the energy to come on down!
And besides, what is appropriate versus inappropriate when it comes to enjoying GooCon? Maybe we can bring some more low key games like Scrabble or Monopoly or something like that and play those. I mean, I'm talking big now, but I might want to get away from the group myself when the time comes. Or maybe a good video game or something similar. There's a lot of options that we can bring into this. The sky's the limit in the Sunshine State! ;)
Obviously the choice is yours, but I hope you both decide to come on down and whoop it up!

I got up before 5, took a shower, did a bunch of my fun and addictive getting-free-stuff-on-the-internet activities, had breakfast, and went and found some treasures in Kameo, all before heading out to work at 7:50. That was awesome. We always go to bed before 10 anyway so what's the point hanging around in bed in the morning when I'm not tired. Go »Stuff you may not realize about me :)
I don't know if people realize this, but I do talk, and I do have a sense of humor of a sort... it's just that it's only with Darrell and Darrin that these things come out! It seems my frame of reference for the world is quite a bit different than most people's. Go »

(Okay, I admit... wtf do I know? Maybe you really are batshit crazier than I could possibly believe... but the rest still applies... if for no other reason than for me to realize that there are people out there (in here?) who are truly crazier than myself... ;-))
