Life and complexity

After last semester's overdose in writing I have been enjoying not having to write at all this semester. Well that and most of my school time is spent in an Art studio....it is mentally challenging, for the first time in years I'm drawing...it's kind of interesting after spending years creating images instantly to spend so much time creating images. It's really made me think about composition....my other really fun class is an Intro to sculpture class which in and of itself is a complete departure for me as I have never though about art in a 3D manner. Not to say that I haven't carved things from wood but I've never really thought about it from a composition POV. It's been very fun though I end each school day mentally spent. Additionally after spending last semester commuting by motorcycle the VA came through for me and approved my disability and back paid me to the date of my retirement, I bought a truckling, I say truckling because I found a nice little 1994 Toyota Tacoma and not a moment too soon as this winter has been very messy....anyway I found something and it made me miss Japan

I thought of you when I found it...the funny thing for me is that I recognize most of the places she is walking through. I really like the way they did it and I like sound of it

How did I miss this before?? That is hilarious! I'm not really a Dunst fan, but this is nice.
I've never been to Japan, but now I miss it too! :)

well after 22 hours in transit I have returned from Sardinia to the land of really bad Capoccino. I spent my birthday (Saturday) sitting in the Piazza in La Maddalena drinking Capoccino...there really isn't any comparision to the wonderful sense of relaxation that I felt there. Go »argh
I got a phone call this morning from work (I'm on vacation) wondering if I know that I'm transferring in 2 weeks???? SAY WHAT???? yet again (this is the 3rd time) the Navy is transferring me to another job in the same area. Go »Change 3
a 07:30 phone call saying ooppsss uimmmm well it turns out that you are gonna have to go after all and we are gonna have to send 2 teams is not that way I wanted to start the day. Neither is sweet talking the travel clerk who's day we ruined yesterday to redo all the work she did yesterday....however other than cancelling my New Years plans, a ride with my dad and a climb with my brother, this on again off again travel thing isn't too much of a burden. Ok before my furnace blew up I had been investing in food items for longterm storage and use. I got a deal on 1pound of vanila beans around new years as well as 2 gallons of peeled garlic last week. Anyway with water turned off in my house all day yesterday (furnace being replaced) I decided that it was a good time to do something about all the garlic and while I was at it make some xmas presents for next year (added bonus time spent in front of the stove means warmth).
