I need to apologize for the rather fangirlish reference in my last goo. I was having a little crush on Marcus Cole when I made the goo... that is my justification.

When I say 90210 in the rest of this post it is perhaps incorrect because I mean in fact "Beverly Hills 90210", the old one, not this new one that came on TV this year that is called just "90210"... which I have very little interest in... but anyway...

Um, speaking of TV crushes is it just me or does Dylan on 90210 look quite a bit like Spike on Buffy ? :P He doesn't have the insanely prominent cheekbones really but there is this weird resemblance. They both have eyebrow scars, although on opposite eyebrows. Can you imagine how bored a person has to be to notice something like that?!?... I don't really have a thing for Dylan though. Spike is just more interesting. And he definitely dresses better, and there's the cool fake accent :P I read a theory actually that Luke Perry's character in the original Buffy movie (which bears very little resemblance to the series) played an early version of Spike. The character name was Pike... and while not a vampire he was supposed to be a cool dude... hmmm...

Anyway, I am not sure why people hate on Beverly Hills 90210. It seems like a good show. I would definitely say it seems better than our previous obsession, The O.C, which seems to have stolen a lot of their plot lines besides. The season 2 xmas episode we just watched was beyond dorky though. But it has usually been quite good, so far. Bringing it back around to the beginning of my post, Marcus is supposed to appear in 5 episodes of 90210 coming up 4th season. Yay...

90210 does kind of tend to have a moral in every episode and be a bit dorky, so it is kind of a cross between Little House on the Prairie and a more modern teen drama.... But hey... I love Little House on the Prairie, too.

I'm probably going to get embarrassed and delete/edit this.

We all have our nerdy crushes. More than one Survivor contestant has inspired a crush here, and Maura Tierney on ER. Then again, I somehow made it through five Star Trek series without being attracted to any of the women, not counting a high school crush on Terry Ferrell. Rosalind Chao was almost in the DS9 cast; I guess she counts.

Frustrated

I just get so frustrated. I want my husband to be happy but the things he's decided will make him happy are completely out of our control (success at music). I wish something good would happen for him finally. Go »

Would you like the receipt with you, or in the bag?

I don't really understand why people ask this. Doesn't it take longer to ask this question and wait for the answer than to just let the person do what they please with the receipt? Oh well. Go »

Now I remember why I live in North Dakota

It got hot all of a sudden the last few days, or what passes for hot in ND in early April (50s). It's like a spring break video out there, people prancing around in bikinis yelling "woo"... OK not quite but there is a marked change in demeanor. Go »

I didn't realize you could get a digital camera for $15 now... Once I became aware of this fact, I had to have one! Darrin got rid of his camera phone and this will serve the same purpose. Go »
