Roommate Problems

So, let's talk about my life. I moved to Jersey City, because a close friend (and my roommate from college) was going to be teaching here, and it would not be a bad commute for me to work. Teaching didn't work out for him, and now he's looking for ajob. He got an offer near Baltimore, a little difficult to commute from here. He hasn't accepted the offer yet, but if he does it'll be a pain in the ass for me. I asked 2 friends to take his room if it happens, and both declined. I cannot afford the place by myself (Hey, NY area is expensive). I am not thrilled with the potential for a random roommate, have heard too many horror stories. I just don't know what to do if he accepts the job.

Viva La Liberacion
Today is Liberation day. I brought a suit case to work with me and am moving into my new apartment after work today. Moving the rest of the furniture this weekend, I can't wait. Go »Moving is not that bad

So, I've been at my new job for a little over 4 months now. I have to say I am very happy there, and one of the main reasons is my boss Jim. The main thing I like about Jim is the fact that when I do something good or important, he'll say "Good Job" or "Thanks a lot". Go »Life changes

So, here's the story from my flight back from England. I flew back from Gatwick airport, which was a blessing in disguise because Heathrow was a nightmare. The people I was traveling with all had earlier flights than me, and since we had to check out of the hotel, I just went to the airport early. Go »
